Printing & Exporting Quizzes

Not every quiz is meant to be taken on a screen. If you need something to hand out on paper or drop into Google Classroom as a native Forms quiz, SimpleQuizMaker exports for that instead of only offering a share link.

Export formats

From a quiz you own, export options include:

• PDF — a clean, printable student copy plus a separate answer key
• Word document (.docx) — the same content in an editable format, useful if you want to tweak wording before printing. Math notation becomes real Word equations you can edit, and figures are embedded as images
• Google Forms — generates an actual Google Forms quiz from your questions, ready to assign and auto-grade inside Google's own ecosystem. Forms has no equation support, so notation is written as plain Unicode (x², ½, π) and each figure is added as an image above its question

Math and chemistry notation, geometry figures, graphs, number lines, and data tables all print exactly as they appear on screen.

Why some formats aren't available for every quiz

Timed, game-format quizzes like Letter Wheel can't be meaningfully expressed as a static PDF or a Google Form — there's no way to represent a countdown timer or the letter-by-letter board on paper or in a form field. Export options only appear for quiz formats that actually translate to a static document; you won't see a broken "PDF" button on a Letter Wheel, it's simply not offered there.

Plan requirements

Export formats are gated by plan: the free plan does not include PDF, Word, or Google Forms export. The paid Student plan includes all three. If you only need a shareable link rather than a printable copy, sharing (see the Sharing guide) works on every plan.
