How quizzes change from kindergarten to 12th grade
Two things grow with each grade: how long a quiz can be before attention drops, and how much thinking a question asks for. In the early grades a quiz checks whether a child remembers and recognises; by middle school it asks students to apply a rule to a new case; in high school it asks them to analyse, compare and judge. Each grade page explains what that means for question types and wording at that age.

The lengths are guidance for a single sitting, not limits. On the free plan the quiz builder generates sets of 5 or 10 questions, and paid plans add larger sets, so pick the nearest size and remove questions you don't need.
The Bloom levels come from Bloom's revised taxonomy. To check which level one of your own questions targets, paste it into the free Bloom taxonomy classifier; to check whether a reading passage suits a grade, use the reading level analyzer.
