Your data is stored securely in a self-hosted PostgreSQL database on Hetzner infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

OpenAI — AI quiz generation (content is processed, not stored by OpenAI beyond the API call)
Google AdSense — Advertising on free plan (consent-gated; not loaded until you accept)
Google Analytics 4 — Aggregate usage analytics (consent-gated)
Hetzner — Cloud infrastructure for database and application hosting
Dokploy — Application deployment and container orchestration
Creem — Subscription billing (only if you upgrade to a paid plan)

Google Classroom (optional, Teacher plan)

If a Teacher-plan user connects their Google Classroom account, we use the Google Classroom API with these scopes only:

classroom.courses.readonly — to list your active courses when assigning a quiz
classroom.coursework.me + classroom.coursework.students — to create assignments and write back student grades for those assignments only
userinfo.email — to display your connected Google account on the integrations page

We never read other student data, post on your behalf, or share Classroom data with third parties. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations; disconnecting also revokes the tokens with Google.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
