Taking a Quiz
What it looks like from the other side of a shared link: answering questions, seeing results, and what an account adds.
If someone sent you a SimpleQuizMaker link, here's what to expect.
No account needed
Open the link and start answering — there is no signup wall, no app to install, and no login prompt. This is true whether you're on a phone, tablet, or computer.
Answering questions
Depending on how the quiz was built, you'll see multiple-choice options, true/false toggles, short-answer text boxes, or fill-in-the-blank fields. Move through the questions at your own pace.
When you see the answers
The quiz creator controls whether correct answers and explanations appear after each question or only at the end, once everything is submitted. If you're mid-attempt on a quiz that reveals only at the end, you won't see the answer key even if you go looking for it — that's intentional, not a bug.
Your progress is saved as you go
If you start a quiz and close the tab partway through, your in-progress answers are kept — the quiz's owner can see it as "in progress" in their Inbox, and if you're signed in and come back to the same link, you can pick up from where you left off rather than starting over.
Why you might want an account
You don't need one to take a quiz, but creating a free account lets you:
- Come back to a shared quiz later without losing progress
- See your own results and explanations in one place
- Turn quizzes into flashcards and get spaced-repetition reminders
- Get an AI Tutor explanation whenever you miss a question, not just the right answer
If a link doesn't load at all, check that it was copied in full — a truncated link (common when pasted into some chat apps) won't resolve.
